YEAR END GIVING

Dear Jesse Remington High School Community –

Each year we take great joy in the blessing it is to lead students through the Advent and Christmas seasons in Devotions, Chapel messages, and Koinonia sharing. The season provides a special reminder of God’s love and provision in sending his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

The ultimate goal of Christian education is life transformation. We know from our own lives that transformation towards a Christ-centered life takes time. Hailey Chapman, a recent Jesse graduate, is studying Math education at Geneva College. Here is a picture of her life on this journey:

“At JRHS they really encouraged us to incorporate Christ into every aspect of our lives. Every morning we would start the day with a 10-minute devotion, which gave us the opportunity to get into the Word every morning. We discussed with each other the topic of the day, which maybe was something like good use of our relationships with each other, or how to be more loving. We really explored different things. Every Friday we had chapel which gave me the opportunity to sing on the worship team and this helped me to feel more connected to the study body as I was helping lead in worship. Each chapel we would have a scheduled speaker, who would come in and give us a scriptural message and would help us end the week on a good note and encourage us into the next week. JRHS really encouraged us with the Bible in the regular classes too, not just Bible class. In Humanities class we learned to connect biblical stories with the piece of literature we were reading and find the parallels within; it was super helpful for me to see the real-world applications of the Bible in great literature and in today’s world.”

As a Ministry Partner of Jesse Remington High School, you are supporting the kind of profound growth and direction that Hailey writes. Gifts from Supporters like you have enabled us to grow in our ability to influence young people as they learn and grow as leaders for Christ and His work. It is young people like Hailey that will be leading the businesses, families and ministries God calls them to in the years ahead.

As 2023 comes to a close, on behalf of the entire JRHS Community of Students, Faculty, Staff, Board, Parents and Alumni, I ask you to prayerfully consider including JRHS in your giving this season. You will be partnering with us to sustain and improve our ability to influence the young people God has placed in our school into life-changing leaders for Christ.

Merry Christmas, and thank you for your faithful support of JRHS,

Jeff Philbrick,

Headmaster
