JRHS is part of a smalls schools athletic league that provides competition for schools of similar size. JRHS students can play three sports throughout the year: fall soccer, winter basketball and spring lacrosse. There is room on the teams for the most capable athletes, as well as students who want to play the sport more recreationally. Playing on a team creates some of the most lasting and meaningful life lessons as athletes experience the camaraderie and the thrill of competition. JRHS coaches are selected both on their skill in the sport, and their ability to mentor young men and women towards Christ.
JRHS also offers a selection of recreational clubs that meet at varying frequencies during the year. Some of the more popular ones include equestrian, mountain biking, skiing and rock climbing. Clubs offer skills and experiences that are unique to a particular faculty member who can offer the activity.
