Headmaster Philbrick appointed to the commission of New England Association of Schools & Colleges

Jesse Remington High School Headmaster, Jeff Philbrick, has served two tours of duty on accreditation visiting teams in the recent years. Recently, he served as the lead on the 10-year re-accreditation of Trinity Christian School in Concord NH. Now, we are pleased to announce, Jeff has been appointed as a commissioner on the NEASC Commission on Independent Schools. He began his three-year term this February.

The 25-member Commission reviews the Self-Studies and Visiting Committee Reports that member schools complete to achieve NEASC Accreditation. In addition, the Commission discusses and establishes overall NEASC policy around independent education and seeks avenues to strengthen the New England independent school community. Currently, the Commission accredits around 565 schools in the six-state region.

Jay Stroud, the Director of NEASC Commission on Independent Schools, affirmed Jeff’s decision in his welcome letter: “Your leadership and experience and your understanding of schools, young people and the adults who work with them will be invaluable to our mutual endeavor.”

We are please how Headmaster Philbrick will be both serving and gleaning from the broader private school consortium of New England.
