The Best Part of College & Career Class? Folding Paper Dinosaurs!

Writer: Jeff PhilbrickJeff Philbrick

Our freshmen at JRHS just took on a unique challenge in College and Career class: creating an origami T-Rex. But there was a twist – they had to follow their leader’s actions only... no talking allowed! And the real surprise? Our leader was the quietest, most reserved student in the group, the one least likely to step into that role. And they absolutely crushed it! 💪✨

This activity wasn't just about making dinosaurs; it was a lesson in leading by example, teamwork, and a little bravery. Because sometimes, stepping out of your comfort zone can be as simple as folding paper—and as fierce as a T-Rex! 🦕

And when we asked Emmi Rairdon, a freshman in the class, “What’s the best part of College and Career class?” She stated, “I’m folding paper dinosaurs! How much better can it get??”
