For the past few years, Spanish teacher Nancy Cataño has yearned to deepen her understanding of the Lord. As a teacher at Jesse Remington High School, she has also been motivated to excel in teaching from a Christian perspective. Upon discovering the Colson Fellows Program, which focuses on theology, faith, and culture, Nancy was highly motivated to embark on the ten-month process of exploring the Christian worldview and joining the lifelong fellowship of believers dedicated to living missionally.
The program began on July 1, and Nancy is already profoundly excited by the depth of learning about God that she is experiencing. Through daily devotions, rigorous reading, webinars with leading Christian thinkers, and meetings with other students, she will gain a deeper understanding of God, establish a solid biblical worldview, embrace her role as an image-bearer of God as an all-encompassing mission, and explore her unique calling. In May, Nancy will be commissioned to embark on her personal mission to serve the Lord and spread the Gospel, marking a new chapter in her journey beyond the program.
