Senior Feature: Lillian Hansen

Lillian Hansen of Deerfield has been a Jesse student since her freshman year, and she shares her insight into the senior class by describing them as unifiers. She says that they, “weren’t always this way but we grew to become a class that brings people together.” She is a central piece to the unifying spirit of the class. She is a great example of a hard-working student that enjoys both academic work and projects as well! One of her all-time favorite projects was Stained Glass because it “taught me the importance of paying attention to tiny details and let me have creative freedom which was good.” While she was excellent in her creativity she also excelled in classes like biology and anatomy which ultimately “influenced me to go into a career in nursing.” She will be attending NHTI for nursing in the fall. Her four-year example of spiritual growth is a beautiful picture of what can happen when you seek after Christ. Her favorite Bible verse is a good depiction of her spiritual presence as well, 1 Timothy 4:12 - “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” She was a blessing to see grow on the worship team, as she started out quite timidly, and over the years became a great vocal worship leader! This was an example of her growing, and maturing faith throughout her time at JRHS.
