Over the past three years at Jesse, Alyssa has grown into a compassionate, creative, and adventurous young leader. With a deep appreciation for learning and a heart for service, she’s left a lasting impact on our community.
Alyssa’s favorite project has been working with stained glass—an art form that taught her both patience and beauty through the creative process. It sparked a newfound appreciation for visual storytelling and expression. She also enjoyed humanities and Spanish classes, drawn to the richness of language, literature, and culture. These subjects have fueled her passion for understanding the human experience and global connections.

Outside the classroom, Alyssa has found joy and challenge in both the arts and the outdoors. Through the drama club, she’s explored acting as a way to bring human stories to life, building characters and connecting deeply with audiences. Skiing has also become a beloved pursuit—something she not only learned at Jesse but grew to love deeply over time.
One of the most meaningful parts of Alyssa’s Jesse experience has been participating in mission trips. Guatemala stands out as a favorite—a trip filled with profound personal connections, spiritual growth, and unforgettable cultural exchange. Her memory of shopping with a host family, being welcomed with warmth, and having her hair braided traditionally, speaks volumes about her openness and the way she cherishes relationships. It’s no surprise that she still prays for the people she met there, reflecting her deep empathy and lasting sense of connection.

When asked about the Class of 2025, Alyssa describes her peers as diverse and adventurous—each bringing unique gifts and perspectives to the table. It's a class full of energy and exploration, and Alyssa has been a key contributor to that spirit.
A guiding light in Alyssa’s life is Romans 12:9-12, a verse that calls for sincere love, perseverance, and joy in hope—values that she lives out daily.
Looking ahead, Alyssa is prayerfully considering several internship opportunities in Washington, D.C., or the southern U.S., some of which have already come with job offers. Her long-term goal is to study international relations in college, and she hopes to continue serving on mission trips in Central or South America—living out her calling to connect, serve, and grow globally.
