Carter Woodrow is finishing his fourth year at JRHS this year. He has grown into a strong and thoughtful leader both on and off campus. A passionate footballer, debater, missionary, and theologian, he plans to pursue a similarly eclectic course of study at Wheaton College, focusing on political science, biblical studies, Spanish, and philosophy. He hopes to take his joy of debate, public speaking, and systematic thinking into a legal career.
Reflecting on his time at JRHS, Carter looks to his Central-American mission trips in sparking a love for the Spanish language and desire to serve through gospel proclaiming. Mock trial and the model United Nations were critical in reinforcing his love of law and public debate. The diversity of peers in the class of 2025 helped promote Christian love and loving teamwork.
A formative verse for Carter is 2 Corinthians 5:21 which describes the love of God, through the Trinity, for all parts of Christian salvation and sanctification. He is continually challenged to live humbly before God and to continually appreciate his dependence upon God alone.
We are so proud of Carter and all his accomplishments here at JRHS. Wheaton College is blessed to have him as a student.
