After three and a half impactful years at Jesse, Yooshin Song (Class of 2025) reflects on a journey marked by learning, service, and friendship. A self-described math enthusiast, Yooshin says his favorite class was Calculus I. “I like math,” he shares simply, “and Coach Doug taught it really well.”
One of his most meaningful experiences came during a service trip to San Antonio, Texas. “I really enjoyed the warm weather,” Yooshin says with a smile, “but what stood out most was the homeowners. They were so kind and welcoming.” The team spent time cleaning and repairing the house, but it was the deep conversations about faith and life that made a lasting impact. “We grew closer as friends and strengthened our connection through service and faith,” he adds.
Yooshin describes the Class of 2025 as “busy” and “silly”—a fitting mix of ambition and lightheartedness. As he prepares to return to Korea to fulfill his military service, he holds tightly to Hebrews 11:6: “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”
Yooshin's quiet leadership, thoughtful spirit, and commitment to faith have left a mark on our community. We send him off with deep gratitude and warmest blessings.
