Creativity and hard work is in full swing in our third-quarter project classes!

In Maple Sugaring, students are preparing to put our brand new equipment to good use. Along with the upgrades comes responsibility, so they are thoughtfully revising policies and procedures to ensure the safety of both students and equipment while maintaining the highest quality syrup. Before long, you may notice buckets hanging from trees, a sure sign that sugaring season has arrived.

In Drama, students have begun preparing their staging of The Surprise by G.K. Chesterton, reading and rehearsing the script together. This two-act morality play blends fairy tale, farce, and allegory and was originally written for a community theater audience. Through the story of a creator who grants his characters genuine freedom, the play explores the theme of free will, often unfolding in unexpected and dramatic ways. Performances are tentatively scheduled for Friday, May 15, and Saturday, May 16, both at 7:00 p.m. More details to come.

Meanwhile, the Yearbook class is hard at work capturing and organizing the memories that will shape how students remember their high school years. As they design layouts, take photographs, craft stories, and collaborate as a team, they are preserving school history and strengthening the bonds that tie our community together.

One of our most enduring and beloved project classes, Stained Glass, continues to draw students eager to create something beautiful with their hands. They learn to work with color, shape glass, and carefully assemble each piece into a finished design. Many students who might never enroll in a traditional drawing or painting class find in stained glass a unique and satisfying outlet for creative expression.
