Freshmen Reflect on Growth and Grit

By Ellie Hyvonen,

In the ninth grade College and Career class, our freshmen have been working hard on their January portfolio analyses and grit presentations. In this moment, Nathan Hodges explains how author Angela Duckworth defines grit and reflects on how his own “grit score” shows the growth he has experienced as a student this year. I am incredibly proud of our freshmen for the thoughtfulness they brought to these presentations and for their honest reflections on their first portfolio experience.
