Project Based Learning: 3-D CAD Design and Printing

In 3-D CAD Design and Printing, students delight in transforming their ideas from digital concepts into tangible creations. Senior Andrew Carlson is designing a working model elevator powered by gears and a hand crank that raises and lowers the lift. What began as a straightforward idea has proven to be a far more complex engineering challenge, requiring patience, creativity, and problem-solving.

Sophomore Tulip, inspired by the mission trip to Washington, D.C. in April, designed a detailed scale model of the National Archives Museum. Another senior, Ben, drew inspiration from Artemis II and created a model space shuttle. Each project reflects the unique interests and ingenuity of our students as they develop both technical skills and creative confidence.
