What a fantastic first day of our Winter Enrichment Program! Nine energetic 6th–9th graders braved the cold with excitement and curiosity. We explored a variety of activities: drawing hibernating animals in trees, practicing basic karate combos, and worshiping through song with the Cross sisters.
We were inspired by an incredible Bible message from Mike Colombo, Class of 2018, and learned essential outdoor survival skills, including how to build a fire, from alumni Isaiah Cross, Class of 2019. After much effort (and frozen fingers!), Judah Chapman emerged as the fire-building champion—congratulations to him!
Miss Ellie may not have been the ultimate karate champ, but she brought her dancing energy and enthusiasm to the group, making every moment fun. Mr. Martens and Aidan Manuse, Class of 2024, were outstanding instructors in karate and drama, guiding students with skill and encouragement.
We can’t wait for Day Two!
