Cuatro Dia Reflectiones from Team Guatemala

By Elliot Doty ('25)

The Guatemala Team was blessed with an impactful and enjoyable Tuesday - filled with ministry work and fun alike. After a delicious breakfast of beans, plantains, and eggs, the group had the privilege of experiencing what the widow's ministry is like here at CFCI. We were blessed with the opportunity to make little porcelain doll keychains with the widows while listening to their testimonies of being redeemed and comforted by God. The meeting concluded with a beautiful time of prayer for both the widows and our group. We enjoyed a hearty lunch and made our way to an English school for children based out of the Alpha y Omega Church, where we were blessed to help lead class. After the kids (ages 2-10) worked on pronunciation of baking words and recitations of scripture in English, our team taught them the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abendigo through a dramatic presentation. We finished our time together by making lion masks symbolic of the story of Daniel. We returned to the base for a spaghetti and zucchini dinner before heading out to the mall to see the new Minecraft movie, and ended our day with a time of reflection and worship. Today was a rewarding day of ministry and fun and not only helped the team grow in our faith, but also blessed the ministries of CFCI in Guatemala.
