Senior Feature: Davis Palmer

Davis Palmer has attended JRHS for all four years of high school and has flourished in his academic excellence. Because of his giftedness in studying and learning, Jesse Remington has allowed Davis to try various classes and activities. Hiking up North and South Baldface Mountain during his senior year’s Fall Mountain Retreat offered a formative opportunity testing his perseverance and endurance while also indulging in his love for God’s beauty in the great outdoors. Also, what an incredible way to build relationships with teachers and peers!

Davis will focus his next four years at college pursuing a degree in civil or environmental engineering in hopes to become a land surveyor, combining his skills with his love for the outdoors. With the academic scholarships he has achieved through hard work ethic at JRHS, he has applied and been accepted into multiple universities such as UNH, Geneva College, and Messiah University.

Though unsure of the college he will attend this fall, Davis knows that his time at JRHS has enabled him to develop his hands-on skills and writing skills for the bright future that awaits him. Davis’ life verse reflects his desire to finish well for the Lord: Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” – Colossians 3:23-25. Observing his perseverance in these years at Jesse, Davis will continue to flourish in the mission to follow Christ through the next mountains he will conquer.
