Senior Feature: Kristin Shi

Writer: Jeff PhilbrickJeff Philbrick

Kristin Shi, an International student from China, has been attending Jesse Remington since her sophomore year. She originally came to us through an agency that found JRHS for her, and then she chose to return as a fully invested student.  Throughout her time at Jesse Remington, Kristin has greatly appreciated the strong, Christian friendships she has made with many of the students and teachers.

Kristen is a remarkable, hardworking and diligent student. In addition to earning very high grades, she posted a remarkable SAT score, took an AP Calculus class, and self-studied for the US History AP exam. In her free time, she love to exercise and play the piano. Once she graduates, she plans to attend the University of Washington, and is undecided as to what her major will be as of yet.  Kristin believes that God will be there to guide and mold her into a stronger, more hardworking young woman.  When seeking guidance and direction for her future, Kristin leans on 1 Peter 1:7 which states, “So that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”
