Spring 2026 All-Day Hike: Adventure mode unlocked

Many Students and teachers from Jesse Remington spent the day exploring Pack Monadnock in Miller State Park, hiking the scenic Wapack Trail while enjoying plenty of laughter and fellowship along the way. The group kept their eyes peeled for soaring raptors overhead, but the wildlife highlight turned out to be a large snake sunning itself near the summit.

At the top, students explored the fire tower area and took in views stretching all the way to the Boston skyline. They were also able to browse the unexpected gift shop.

The hike down followed the Marion Davis Trail, with tired legs but happy spirits. On the ride home, the adventure continued with a stop at Ben’s Maple Shack to see its enormous industrial boiler. Naturally, the day concluded with enthusiastic karaoke performances in one of vans riding home, because every great hike deserves an equally expressive soundtrack.

There were two other teams of hikers. Some students went with Mrs. Sicard on the overnight hike. That story is coming next! On the homefront, Sra. Cataño, Mrs. Crawford, and Mrs. Carlson went on their own little hike around Chivers Pond.

It was a great day of adventuring for the JRHS community!
