We’ve got some exciting midsummer news to share with our readers, so, take a read!
We believe:
in the development of the whole person: mind, body, and spirit;
a solid spiritual foundation is essential to a student’s success;
spiritual foundation is rooted in a personal, daily relationship with Jesus Christ;
life for adolescents is increasingly complex, as they learn to live in both the real and digital spaces; and
the most successful families at JRHS are active in their local church, and together, we create rich growth opportunities for students.
We have listened to the consistent and valuable Parent Pulse feedback from our parents, asking us to provide more support for the overall well being and whole person development of students.
Ergo…
We are excited to debut a new leadership position at JRHS: Spiritual Life Director. We didn’t have to look too far to find our best candidate, and to that, we are proud to announce that our very own Matt Hannan will be taking on this new role. Working with Pastor Steve Baker, Chaplain, Matt will be responsible for the landmark spiritual programs at JRHS (Koinonia, Devotions, Chapel, Bible teaching). In addition to this, Matt is looking forward to working with students and families to navigate some of life’s biggest challenges and opportunities. The Faculty is also eager to have this new resource on campus to guide students into better emotional and relational health and wellness.
When asked what part of this new job he is most looking forward to, Matt answered, “I'm excited for a more consistent and unified year of spiritual development. It will be wonderful to connect more clearly what we're learning in class with what we're doing in Koinonia and Chapel and on our Mission Trips."
Astute readers may be asking, “hey wait a minute….didn’t they announce recently that Matt will also be the newly appointed Director of the Entrepreneurial Education Program?” And our answer is a resounding “YES!” We have been looking for ways to bring Mr. Hannan on full time, and now we have found it. We ask for your continued prayer and support as Matt develops into his two new roles.
