As Jack Rairdon prepares to graduate after four memorable years at Jesse, he leaves behind a legacy of hands-on learning, deep faith, and meaningful community connections. Known for his grounded perspective and willingness to step outside his comfort zone, Jack has made the most of his high school experience both inside and outside of the classroom.
One of Jack’s most transformative experiences came through Jesse’s maple sugaring project, which quickly became his favorite class. “I love being outside and working with my hands,” he explains. “It’s made me appreciate how amazing God’s creation is. Seeing how He designed nature to produce tangible results has really shaped the way I view His creation.” Late nights in the sugar shack with classmates and teachers became the backdrop for some of Jack’s most cherished memories with the school.
Jack’s involvement in extracurriculars also played a major role in shaping his high school experience. Two moments stand out: the annual skits at FMR (Fall Mountain Retreat) and the school’s production of Little Women. While the skits provided laughter and helped forge new friendships through creativity and teamwork, the drama production took Jack by surprise. “It’s not really my thing,” he admitted, “but I really enjoyed it. Seeing months of hard work coming together was incredibly rewarding. I also got to grow closer to people I wouldn’t normally spend time with.”

A guiding scripture passage in Jack’s life is Hebrews 11:1–3, which speaks of faith in the unseen. As someone who thrives on tangible, hands-on work, this reminder has helped him to trust in God’s plan even when it isn’t immediately clear.
Looking ahead, Jack will be heading to basic training with the United States Marine Corps, where he’ll train to become an aviation mechanic. “The next couple of years will be full of learning and growth,” he says, “especially in areas like discipline and leadership.” Jack Rairdon leaves Jesse with a strong foundation in faith, relationships, and academics and is ready to take on whatever comes next.
