When Yaqi (Jessica) Fang arrived at Jesse Remington High School from China just two years ago, she stepped into a Christian community that would shape her spiritually, academically, and personally. Now, as she looks ahead to the next chapter of her journey, she reflects on the moments that have meant the most.
Deepening Faith in the Classroom
One class that left a lasting impression on Jessica was Bible. “It challenged me to think deeply about my faith,” she shared. Through the study of Apologetics and theology, she discovered new perspectives and came to a deeper understanding of God's Word. “It helped me see how Scripture connects to my everyday decisions,” Jessica explained—an experience that has equipped her to approach life with clarity and purpose.
From Ski Slopes to Service Projects
Outside the classroom, Jessica embraced the Jesse experience to the fullest. A favorite highlight? Hitting the slopes on a school skiing trip. “It allowed me to try something new and enjoy the outdoors in a fun and active way,” she said. But perhaps most meaningful was the junior-year mission trip to Texas. “I learned valuable life skills and built lasting relationships with my team,” she reflected. Both moments helped build her confidence and taught her the value of teamwork.

A Class That Stands Together
When asked to describe the Class of 2025, Jessica didn’t hesitate:
“Encouraging, hardworking, enthusiastic, and supportive.” It’s a class known for lifting each other up and tackling challenges as a team—a spirit Jessica has been proud to be part of.
Guided by Scripture
Jessica’s life is anchored by the promise of Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” This verse reminds her to depend on God—especially in seasons of transition and big decisions.
Looking Ahead
Next fall, Jessica plans to attend Liberty University to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her goal is to serve others through healthcare, combining compassion and competence in a career built on faith and service.
