Unexpected Trouble Comes With Unexpected Blessings!

Unexpected blessings often come hand in hand with unexpected challenges! On Friday morning, my Spanish class pointed out that it was warmer outside than in our classroom. Halfway up the steep hill to the Sentinel, it hit me—there must be an issue with the heating! I immediately wondered, "Where will I teach? How will we manage without a whiteboard?" In moments like these, you have a choice: respond with stress or stay calm, cool, and collected.

We chose the latter and had an incredible class in the beautiful Welcome Center. We kicked things off with a yoga challenge and a stretch circle. (A huge thank you to Mrs. Carlson for letting us use her office space briefly—don’t worry, no food or drinks were involved!)

This unexpected move turned out to be a blessing. We even had a cozy rug to sit on! I’m so proud of my students for adapting so gracefully, demonstrating an essential life skill—resilience in the face of unexpected change.
